“Efficient and responsive”
European Legal 500 2011
Our Property Litigation Group is one of the largest property litigation practices amongst Irish law firms. We have a broad range of experience in advising clients on property related disputes. We have advised landlords, tenants, developers, local authorities and other public bodies. We also work closely with lawyers in our Commercial Property Department.
We have considerable experience in acting in all kinds of dispute resolution, including arbitrations, mediations and judicial review proceedings, and regularly advises on property disputes before the Commercial Court.
Lawyers in the group advise clients on:

We are acting for a number of property developers/receivers in respect of initiating and managing specific performance proceedings as against proposed purchasers of residential properties.
We represented a large scale property developer in the Commercial Court seeking declaratory relief in respect of a dispute involving contract for sale of land.
We acted on behalf of a large scale property developer in the Commercial Court in respect of defending specific performance proceedings issued against it arising from a development agreement.
We advised Ickendell (the owner of Bewleys Café, Grafton Street, Dublin) in respect of an ongoing dispute with its tenant.
We have advised the Private Residential Tenancies Board, in relation to the exercise of their functions and their enforcement role, and have defended judicial review proceedings instituted against it.
Sources remark that “it is prompt in its responses and the partners are readily available to help".
