Expertise
Ronan is a partner in the Commercial Property Department at Matheson Ormsby Prentice. He advises in the area of commercial landlord and tenant law including retail and office leasing representing both landlords and tenants. He also advises in relation to all aspects of retail park and residential development including structuring, property financing, and the purchase, sale and leasing of commercial property.
Ronan advises commercial landlords and tenants and property developers and is a regular advisor on the property aspects of company sales and acquisitions. He advises both UK and US clients on the property aspects of establishment and investment in the Republic of Ireland. Ronan acts for significant clients in the insurance industry and banks in relation to a range of issues concerning their property portfolios.

Highlights
Ronan has advised:
- TVC Holdings on the acquisition of 11 Comfort Inn and Quality Hotels in Ireland for a total investment of €46.5 million, from Choice Hotels Ireland
- the vendors in the sale of Millennium Park in Naas, a 320 acre mixed development and investment property and one of the largest in the history of the State
- the Landlord/Developer in the letting, development and financing of a major retail park outside of Dublin
- Hewlett-Packard on the property aspects of its multi-million Euro acquisition of Schlumberger Business and Continuity Services Limited
- on the property aspects of the €967 million sale by National Australia Bank of its Irish Banks
- on the sale of a substantial development site in Dublin City Centre on the Irish property aspects of a global merger between two major international bio-pharma companies
- on the re-financing of property portfolio by significant property developer
