Expertise
Peter is a partner in the Banking and Financial Services Department at Matheson Ormsby Prentice. His main focus is on banking and structured finance transactions with a special emphasis on project finance. Peter acts for a range of corporate and international clients from our Dublin office. Prior to joining Matheson Ormsby Prentice in 2004, Peter worked for several years with leading international law firm, Clifford Chance LLP in London, Dubai and Hong Kong.
Peter is a regular speaker and attendee at project finance, PPP and energy conferences and has published numerous articles on projects and energy related issues.

Highlights
Peter has advised:
- Bank of Ireland as sole MLA on the €100 million Irish Schools Bundle One PPP
- a consortium of international and domestic lenders on the €300 million M7/M8 Portlaoise Motorway Scheme
- Goodbody Stockbrokers (acting on behalf of a syndicate of private investors) on all financing aspects of a new enlarged high specification private hospital within the grounds of St Vincent’s Private Hospital with a build cost of nearly €200 million
- Sispar Limited as borrower on all financing aspects on the re-development of Greystones Harbour (value circa €300 million)
- a European bank in relation to the financing of a number of Irish wind farms
- a borrower in relation to its re-financing of a portfolio of wind farms
- in relation to a private placement of debt securities by a major Irish semi-state body
- various investment banks on emissions trading including advising in relation to standard form IETA documentation
- a consortium of lenders in relation to various accommodation projects.
