Expertise
Noreen is a partner in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department at Matheson Ormsby Prentice where she focuses on the areas of solicitor's and accountant's professional negligence and commercial litigation generally.
Noreen was appointed as one of the two solicitor members to the Commercial Court Users' Committee in May 2007. This committee is chaired by Mr Justice Peter Kelly and was established to provide feedback from practitioners on the operation of the Commercial Court. Noreen has also recently been invited to become a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association's Business and Commercial Law Committee to represent the interests of commercial litigators and Commercial Court practitioners.
Noreen has managed several complex commercial litigation claims for a number of domestic and international clients with most of these claims, due to their value and complexity, being dealt with by the Commercial Court, or through case management in the High Court. Noreen acts for a number of commercial and private clients in complex commercial litigation claims dealing with areas such as breach of contract, judicial review, shareholder oppression.

Noreen has advised:
- one of the world's largest banks on litigation arising out of the Madoff fraud which includes, Commercial Court cases taken by funds and investors
- Trinity College in relation to ongoing litigation relating to a multi-million euro student residence development at Trinity Hall, Dartry
- the Solicitors' Mutual Defence Fund Limited in relation to a €2 million claim against their member by certain beneficiaries arising out of the administration of an estate in Ireland and the United Kingdom
- the Solicitors' Mutual Defence Fund Limited in relation to proceedings taken against their member by a number of house owners arising out of breaches of planning permission for a residential housing development in Cork
- Goodbody Stockbrokers in a €22 million dispute between them, the Financial Services Regulator and a former employee arising out of a report prepared and submitted by Goodbody Stockbrokers to the Financial Services Regulator at its request
- NCB Stockbrokers in proceedings taken against them and Investec Bank (UK) Limited by an investor arising from the operation of a complex investment product
