Cara is a partner in the Commercial Property Department at Matheson Ormsby Prentice. Cara advises on all areas of commercial property, development and investment, including commercial landlord and tenant matters (retail, office and industrial leases), property investment transactions and tax efficient investments including Enterprise Area, hotel, private hospital and nursing home schemes, co-ownerships, joint ventures and other syndicated acquisitions both in Ireland and the UK, forward sales, sale and leaseback and rent sharing lease arrangements.
Cara represents a number of Irish and UK retailers, advising various tenants on leases in most of the recent large-scale retail developments throughout Ireland, and also advises on office leases in both new builds and existing premises. Cara has wide experience in the disposal of large sites for semi-state bodies, and private companies in the industrial and technology sectors, both by tender and private treaty sales. She currently represents a number of multi-national companies in the IT and technology sectors with respect to the management of their Irish property portfolios. Cara also acts on behalf of private individuals in property investments including capital allowances schemes.
