Expertise
Alan is resident counsel in the firm’s New York office and a senior associate in the firm’s Tax Department. Alan is a member of the Structured Finance and Derivatives and Inward Investment Groups at Matheson Ormsby Prentice.
Alan advises international financial institutions, corporations, fund managers, investment banks, arrangers, issuers, rating agencies, trustees, investment managers and investors on all aspects (including restructuring) of structured, cross-border financing, securitisation, banking and taxation transactions in relation to structured finance transactions of all types of asset classes (including CDOs, CLOs, repackaging and MTN programmes, derivatives, securitisations, LPNs and life settlement structures).
Alan also advises international corporations establishing operations and doing business in and through Ireland on all aspects of corporate tax.
Alan was previously seconded to the legal department of a large investment bank in London advising the global markets - fixed income desk of the bank.
