Matheson Ormsby Prentice supports major Irish Technology Leadership Group event, 2nd year in a row

For the second year in a row, Matheson Ormsby Prentice is supporting the Silicon Valley organisation’s annual Irish event. The “Silicon Valley Comes to Ireland 2009” event, will take place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on 20 and 21 October 2009 and is hosted by Irish Technology Leadership Group (ITLG), a group of senior Irish-American technology executives committed to strengthening the developmental ties between Silicon Valley and Ireland.

This two day event will involve a 12-member delegation of experts from the fields of venture capital, industry, business, and global ICT, based in Silicon Valley, California, who will meet a dozen Irish companies selected for this year’s development workshops. Matheson Ormsby Prentice is pleased to sponsor the CEO Panel discussion, with CEOs and venture capitalists from the visiting Silicon Valley delegation giving their perspectives on what it takes to be successful in the global technology marketplace.

According to Fergus Bolster, Corporate Finance Partner and head of the Venture Capital Group at Matheson Ormsby Prentice: "Our firm shares the ILTG's commitment to promoting Ireland as a strategic area of investment and opportunity. Our commitment to the US market is evident as we are the only Irish law firm with offices on both the east and west coasts of the United States. We are pleased to sponsor the CEO Panel discussion and look forward to the prospect of the new ideas and opportunities that will arise from this meeting of Irish technology entrepreneurs and US business leaders and investors."
