Matheson Ormsby Prentice hosts evening for the Chartered Institute of Professional Development CIPD Members

Employment Associates - Deirdre Lynch and Ger Connolly spoke about the legal implications of reduncancies for employers at the CIPD members evening on Tuesday 3 November 2009.

The economic downturn has required many employers, both large and small to reassess their businesses. With Ireland increasingly likely to have a more prolonged downturn in comparison to other developed economies, employers here are being faced with the need to remove cost from the business in order to restore competitiveness. The seminar was designed to assist HR practitioners with steering through this minefield and was part of a programme of events run by the CIPD.
