Our headquarters are in Dublin, with offices also in London, New York and Palo Alto, California. Our clients include many Fortune 500, FT Global 500 and FT Euro 500 companies, as well as some of the largest public, private and State owned companies and institutions in Ireland.

The corporate focus of the firm is reflected in our structure. The firm comprises five principal departments, which include: Corporate and Commercial, Taxation, Banking and Financial Services, Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and Commercial Property. In addition, the firm has more than 20 groups, many of them cross departmental (and, in several instances, with an industry specific focus), which advise on specialist areas of the law.

We have been consistently recognised as a leading Irish law firm. We were named "Irish Law Firm of the Year 2009" at the annual Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence. This prestigious award recognises the firm’s pre-eminence across key practice areas, its impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.
We were the first law firm to be recognised as one of the "50 Best Workplaces in Ireland", and the only law firm to be recognised for three years running (2007, 2008 and 2009). These accolades are based on findings of surveys conducted by The Great Place to Work® Institute, Inc. In 2008, Matheson Ormsby Prentice was selected as one of the "50 Best Large Workplaces in Europe", the first and only Irish law firm to receive this accolade and the highest ranked law firm on the list.
In 2010, Matheson Ormsby Prentice was awarded the International Law Office "Client Choice" award for Ireland for the fourth time in five years. The selection was made following research and polling of Fortune 500, FT Global 500, FT Euro 500 and other companies. Matheson Ormsby Prentice was the first Irish law firm to receive the "Client Choice" award for Ireland in 2005.
In 2007, Matheson Ormsby Prentice was named "European Law Firm of the Year" by The Hedge Fund Journal Awards, which celebrated the leading service providers to the European hedge fund industry. In 2006, we were awarded "Irish Tax Firm of the Year" by the International Tax Review indicating outstanding performance in the tax law arena. The firm was awarded the “European Law Firm of the Year” award at The Legal Business Awards 2002, the first Irish law firm to have received this award.
