Celine O'Carroll
Head Receptionist, Dublin Office

I'm the Head Receptionist in the Dublin office of Matheson Ormsby Prentice and responsible for leading the teams in our two main reception areas. We are very often one of the first points of contact for the firm's clients so we recognise the importance of providing a professional, courteous and friendly introduction to our firm. We may be a small team but know we are a very important cog in a large wheel.

The most enjoyable aspect of my job is the interaction with so many people throughout the firm. I work with lawyers, secretaries and all of the firm's support teams. I get a real sense of satisfaction when I can solve a problem for someone or show them how to do something new.

I enjoy very much meeting the newcomers to the firm and helping them to settle in and watching them progress their careers. This is particularly true of the trainees, I feel a real sense of pride watching them start with the firm, when everything is new to them and then watching them qualify and develop into lawyers. I am lucky in that I have a role which continues to evolve and allows me to work with so many different people, there is always a new challenge to keep me on my toes.
